RIP Bob Hammond
1939 - 2021
Hammond Farm's goal was to breed good looking, well bred horses that would fit most any discipline, from the family horse, to the working horse, to the show horse, and for us to have fun doing it. Most of our babies fit that criteria. Our special time of the year was from early spring through the summer when all the babies were arriving.
We have owned several exceptional stallions including AR Jackzan Aces Wild (info below). After his death in 2013, we drastically scaled down our breeding operation. We also stood AR Hollywood Scarlet and Whipp Hancock Xavier.
We firmly believed in mare power, and continually tried to acquire mares that have both their own quality pedigrees, and that match well with our stallions. We feel that we accomplished that goal.
We are very proud of our babies and our customers usually feel the same way. The Hammond Farm genetics that Bob worked hard to develop live on on horses throughout the United States.

AR Jackzan Aces Wild (Zan Silver Parr x Jacks Miss Scarlet) 1990 - 2013 gray stallion We have lost a beloved friend. |
Ace had 109 performance points in five different events and 1-1/2 halter points. He was awarded his Superior in heading and is 1 point shy of the same in healing. He qualified for the World Show in 1999 under Gary Wells, and has his Performance ROM. A 10 year old boy roped off Ace while he was under Gary's care and direction.
Ace was out of a proven producing own daughter of the immortal TWO EYED JACK, "Jacks Miss Scarlet". We purchased this mare from Carol Rose, and she was in foal to Zan Silver Parr, an own son of another immortal horse, ZAN PARR BAR. Mr George Strait bought Zan Silver Parr at the same sale. Ace has been on the farm since foaling, and has brought us nothing but pleasure since. Ace was a terrific horse himself but he surpassed himself as a breeding stallion. he stamped his ability and temperament on most all his babies. Likely well better than 1/2 of his babies are that pretty, and desirable, gray color as well. He has had 5 of his get show in AQHA events and of these 5, 3 have been invited to the World Show for a 60% avg. of horses shown, to be invited to the "World". Perhaps the most notable is the Butler families "JACKS WILD ACES HIGH", Reserve World Champion calf roping horse in 2000. Ace's offspring have won 333 Open AQHA points, 23 Amateur points, and $10,643 in AQHA World earnings. He was 22 in the picture at left. pedigree |
